About the workshop

You’ll be guided in weaving your own swallow from sustainably grown natural willow – they look great hung on a wall, garden fence or mounted on a pole to swoop around your flower beds.

This hands-on workshop is a great introduction to traditional willow weaving techniques and is suitable for complete beginners.

The workshop will be taught in a small, friendly group with a maximum of 10 people, with all tools and materials supplied. No previous experience is required, and this workshop uses shorter thin willow for weaving, making it easier for those with less hand strength.

We’ll include a short break for everyone to stretch their fingers, drinks and biccies will be included!

This course is suitable for adult beginners.
No level of experience or ability is required.
This workshop is practical by nature,.
This will take place in our ‘Ed Shed’ with its log burner and panoramic views of the orchard and forest. It is advised that participants wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear (no open toes). WCLT reserves the right to prevent a participant from taking part in the activity if they are not wearing suitable clothes and footwear.
If you book a place on a workshop, but are then no longer able to attend, you will not be entitled to a refund. If you would like to transfer your booking to another workshop, we shall make reasonable efforts (subject to availability) to rearrange the booking, but shall not provide any guarantee to this effect.
WCLT reserves the right to cancel a workshop. This will only happen in exceptional circumstances. Those with pre-booked places will be offered a choice of alternative dates.
