Featuring real-life rescue stories, the display will go on show at Chamberlain Square in Birmingham from April 10 to 12.
Named Mission Critical, the outdoor exhibition is part of the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations and will feature photographic storytelling and personal accounts from former patients, critical care crews and supporters.
Emma Gray, chief operating officer for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “As we mark 35 years of lifesaving service, we wanted to capture the true impact of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in a way that honours everyone connected to our organisation.
“Mission Critical reflects the courage of our former patients and the unwavering dedication of our critical care teams who save lives every day.”
The exhibition will remain open to the public until 7pm on April 12, before touring several of the charity’s flagship events throughout the anniversary year.
The display traces the charity’s journey from its first mission in 1991 to its current role as one of the UK’s busiest air ambulance operators.
Through images and testimony, it highlights the development of the charity’s clinical capabilities, innovations and operational achievements.
Ms Gray said: “This exhibition not only celebrates the evolution of our pre-hospital emergency service since 1991 but also highlights the increasing demand and complexity of the missions we attend across the region.
“Our service is needed now more than ever.”
She thanked those who made the exhibition possible.
Ms Gray said: “We are incredibly grateful to every former patient who has generously shared their story, to our crew whose professionalism underpins every mission, and to all our supporters who ensure our lifesaving work can continue.”
